Sagehens To Host 26th Annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational

Claremont, Calif. - The Pomona-Pitzer Men's and Women's Track and Field teams will host the 26th Annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational this Saturday at Strehle Track.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a pair of Paralympic events (shot put and discus), while the collegiate events will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's pole vault, men's and women's hammer throw, men's long jump and women's high jump.

The first track event will take place at 10:45, with the men's 110-meter hurdles. The day will conclude at 6:40 with the women's 5000 meters.

Over 1200 athletes, representing collegiate, post-collegiate and international competitors will take part in the event. Olympic medalist Bryan Clay, who won gold in the 2008 Olympics in the decathlon, will be among those attending the event.
