INVITED SCHOOLS (Meet management will limit 2012 field sizes due to tight course restrictions)
Meet entry priority for the 2012 meet will be given to NCAA Division III teams and NAIA teams first, NCAA Division II teams second, and NCAA Division I teams third. Unattached individuals will not be allowed to register.

"We are looking forward to hosting this meet again," says Men's Head Coach Tony Boston. "We've hosted this meet for a few years now, including the NCAA West Regional Meet a couple years ago, and the West Regional meet in 2011 that Occidental hosted on the course. It's a proven course that is challenging and exciting."

Women's Head Coach Kirk Reynolds is likewise enthused: "This is a real cross country course. It has grass, dirt trails, and pretty much the whole course is either uphill or downhill. So on each loop you have to do a bit of work first before you can go screaming fast the other way. The course is also very spectator-friendly; you can see the runners go by numerous times from the central start/finish area at the track."

Annie Lydens (Pomona-Pitzer) holds the women's course record of 21:03.9 set in winning the 2011 Invite. The men's course record is 24:31.7 by Danny Lyon (CSU San Marcos) in winning the 2012 Invite.
